Sutter Physicians Alliance (SPA) joins local Sutter-affiliated medical groups into a single aligned network to meet the needs of the community. When you select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) who is a member of any of the three medical groups (SIP, SMG, or SWMG), you also gain access to more than 700 SPA specialists in the region, Sutter’s advanced medical technology, five convenient hospitals, and many physician offices within the community. SPA is comprised of three primary medical groups and Sutter Neuroscience Medical Group, providing primary and advanced specialty care across a broad geographic region, including El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo counties. The medical groups are:
Sutter Independent Physicians (SIP) - SIP includes more than 475 private practice physicians in primary and specialty care
- SIP serves patients in Sacramento, Placer and Yolo Counties
- You will gain access to more than 700 specialists in the region aligned with Sutter Physicians Alliance
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) - SMG includes more than 200 physicians and 40 nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- SMG serves patients in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, and Sacramento Counties
- You will gain access to more than 700 specialists in the region aligned with Sutter Physicians Alliance
Sutter Neuroscience Medical Group (SNMG) - SNMG includes comprehensive neurological care, including brain, spine and spinal cord diagnosis and management
- SNMG is affiliated with Sutter Neuroscience Institute
Sutter West Medical Group (SWMG) - SWMG includes more than 70 primary and specialty care physicians
- SWMG serves patients in Solano and Yolo Counties
- You will gain access to more than 700 specialists in the region aligned with Sutter Physicians Alliance
